Starting Lines |
|
15.1
|
All starting lines will be between a staff displaying
an orange flag on the Race Committee Boat at the starboard end,
and an inflatable RED CYLINDRICAL buoy at the port end (the
pin). The RC may relocate a starting line if wind conditions
dictate, and flag L will be displayed on the Race Committee
Boat to indicate "follow this boat". |
|
15.2
|
All races shall be started using rule 26 starting
signals, with the warning signal for a class being given five
minutes before the starting signal for that class. The warning
signal for each succeeding class may be made with or after the
starting signal of the preceding class. (See order of starting
in instruction 15.5). In Races 1, 2 and 5, Class 1 will start
15 minutes after Class 2, to permit slower boats to clear the
starting area. |
|
15.3
|
In the event of a postponement to a start being
signaled by the display of flag AP with 2 sound signals on the
Race Committee Boat, that flag will be displayed for at least
four minutes before being removed. A new Warning Signal will
then be made one minute after the removal of flag AP. |
|
15.4
|
When there are two scheduled races to be sailed
on the same day, flag AP will be displayed before the starting
sequence for the second race, and the time for the commencement
of the planned starting sequence broadcast on VHF Channel 72. |

her starting signal. |
|

|
Recalls |
|
16.1
|
Individual recalls will be signaled in accordance
with rule 29.1. Attempts to contact individual boats may be
made by VHF or hail. However, failure to contact the boat will
not be grounds for redress. No Regatta Hull Numbers of boats
recalled will be displayed. |
|
16.2

General recalls will be signaled in accordance
with rule 29.2. When a general recall has been signaled, a new
warning signal will be made one minute after the lowering of

When a general recall has been signaled, the start(s)
for the succeeding class(es) will follow the new start of the
recalled class. |
