Starting Lines
15.1
All starting lines will be between a staff displaying an orange flag on the Race Committee Boat at the starboard end, and an inflatable RED CYLINDRICAL buoy at the port end (the pin). The RC may relocate a starting line if wind conditions dictate, and flag L will be displayed on the Race Committee Boat to indicate "follow this boat".
15.2
All races shall be started using rule 26 starting signals, with the warning signal for a class being given five minutes before the starting signal for that class. The warning signal for each succeeding class may be made with or after the starting signal of the preceding class. (See order of starting in instruction 15.5). In Races 1, 2 and 5, Class 1 will start 15 minutes after Class 2, to permit slower boats to clear the starting area.
15.3
In the event of a postponement to a start being signaled by the display of flag AP with 2 sound signals on the Race Committee Boat, that flag will be displayed for at least four minutes before being removed. A new Warning Signal will then be made one minute after the removal of flag AP.
15.4
When there are two scheduled races to be sailed on the same day, flag AP will be displayed before the starting sequence for the second race, and the time for the commencement of the planned starting sequence broadcast on VHF Channel 72.

15.7
Boats shall minimize the use of VHF radio immediately prior to, and during the conduct of the starting sequences, so that the Race Committee has a clear channel on which to communicate urgent messages to other official boats and participants.
15.8
A boat shall not start later than 30 minutes after her starting signal.
16.0
Recalls
16.1
