1st RAJA MUDA SELANGOR INTERNATIONAL REGATTA 1990

The first Raja Muda International Regatta was organised by the Royal Selangor Yacht Club to coincide with Visit Malaysia Year 1990, from 23 — 30 November. The Regatta Patron, DYTM Raja Muda of Selangor showed much devotion and unflinching support towards a smooth passage for this regatta.

The Regatta was planned to encompass the best of serious racing and fun, as participants experienced at all stopovers. With the race starting from Port Klang, the crews embarked anticipating a discovery voyage of Malaysia. The crews voyaged from Port Klang to Pangkor at the first leg, Pangkor to Penang at the second leg and Penang to Langkawi at the third leg.

The 1990 race entry reached up to 42 yachts coming from 10 different countries with 160 participants in total, who enjoyed Malaysia's warmth and beauty in the best possible way. The first Raja Muda International Regatta indeed bid everyone a fantastic sail and a memorable time.
